At 14 nights, our long programme offers the most immersive pilgrimage at affordable prices. 7 night is a little sprint and 10 nights is good immersion, but fourteen night spiritual transformation for not rushing anything or thoughts as it's with enough time for all rituals, reflections and visiting. You stay in every holy city for a full week, actually forming routines instead of being always on the move to a novel place. That is enough time to pray 2 Friday prayers in each city with normal schedule, do Umrah multiple times without rush, go visit every single Ziyarah site without running through all of them, pray at night when the same places are relatively quiet and rejuvenated, take a good nap/rest between worship periods to make up energy – Talk to so many people and get used to the time difference so half your trip isn't jet-lagged. The price gap between a stay of 10 and 14 nights will generally be only £70-120 per person, which is an absolute steal for an extra four days in the holy cities (and mind you, this also includes transfers). Most pilgrims say spending longer turns the speedy, hurried Umrah obligation into a life changing spiritual experience.
Seven nights in a city provides enough time for overall engagement and exploration. At Emaar Andalusia Hotel in Makkah, you'll have an entire week of: Making your fard Umrah Tawafs at your convenience with no crowd pressure to just "get it done", completing extra nafil Tawafs for yourself and close family members at an appropriate pace and focus, multiple Sa'i between Safa and Marwa at tranquil hours, attending two different night prayers and Fajr salat in different spiritual climates; visiting Jabal al-Nour, the Cave of Hira, Jabal Thawr, Jannat al-Mu'alla (cemetery), exploring Alam Haram's newly expanded areas and taking a lap around its architectural decoration details – all the prayer you want during special times like the when Allah descends to Low Heaven or in last third of the night! Over a span of seven nights in Madinah at Miraj Al Salam, you can perform all such prayers. Perform the actual tawaf itself. We're constantly surrounded by people who annoy us with their actions and words (or inaction and silence), but it's an act of faith to be patient constantly and not lose our cool. The trick is pace yourself—though don't try to do everything all at once.
Emaar Andalusia Hotel Makkah – 3 star Situated around 900 Meters from Masjid al-Haram – A comfortable walk of about 12-15 minutes. The hotel offers neat, air-conditioned rooms with en suite bathrooms and comfortable beds as well as Wi-Fi accessibility, flat-screen TVs and daily housekeeping. The property provides 24-hour front desk service, an elevator that operates to all floors and is also accessible for old aged pilgrims on a wheelchair. Family rooms and interconnecting rooms are offered to groups travelling together. It offers a restaurant with international and local cuisine, as well as several restaurants and shops nearby. Miraj Al Salam Madinah Miraj Al Salam in Madinah is located around 700 metres away from Masjid al-Nabawi, a 10-12 minute walk on pedestrianised streets. Like Emaar Andalusia, it offers simple, clean rooms with basics like air con and a bathroom (and WiFi) that are cleaned daily. The hotel staff are friendly and many have the ability to speak English, so they can help with directions and suggestions. Both properties are kept up to sanitary standards appropriate for 7 nights each. They're basic 3 star hotels with nothing fancy, but they are comfortable enough for the pilgrims who spend the majority of their time in mosques rather than hotels. Is Christmas-December climate good enough for 2 weeks stay? In December, you can make the most of extended Umrahs with the perfect climate for it which is why two week travel packages are very popular. During the day, it is a consistent 15-20°C; at night, a little lower at 10-15°C - ideal for participation in worship out in the open air without extreme heat. Unlike summer months when temperatures hit above 45°C and you struggle to complete Tawaf and Sa'i, December season enables you to perform everything at ease anytime throughout the day in cool atmosphere without any heat stress. The comfortable dry heat and lack of humidity makes it easy to walk between hotels and mosques, rather than draining as during the summer months. Morning and evening devotionals are especially enjoyable out in the cool, fresh air. There's nothing extremely hot or even downright unpleasant in your fortnight – and consequently you never seem to run out of steam halfway through the holiday. The chance of rain in December doesn't exceed 1-2 days a month on average, however, it is always good to have light cover (jacket) for cool evenings. The mild weather allows also grandparents and young families not to be limited in your summer pilgrimage by the weather conditions, and to take part into all the proposed activities.

'Add daily breakfast': In a 14 night package, expect to pay at least £10-15 pp/pd for standard 3 star hotels ie up to c£140-210 pp over the fortnight. Meanwhile, breakfast is buffet style and features eggs, bread products, cheese, yogurt, fruits, juices as well as plenty of tea and coffee to satisfy our first couple days of intense worship. There are a few tips to control the cost of breakfast when staying for an extended period. Think about including breakfast for only some days (for example, first and last three days) when you're acclimatising or preparing to leave — it'll set you back something like £60-90 per head. Alternatively, for people willing to venture out there are dozens of local restaurants and shops near both hotels serving cheap breakfast starting at £3-6/a meal – a potential saving on those meals alone of between £80-120 per person over the long stretch of two full weeks. Many pilgrims choose to do a mix — hotel breakfast for days with early Ziyarah tours, or if the schedule is busy, and local cafes for relaxed days. Some are self-contained if you want to keep your costs down by doing a simple breakfast (Fresh croissants & bread etc can be bought at the shops in town) yourself. Our staff will happily discuss breakfast options suitable for your budget - full package buffet breakfast, days of choice or passport to local low cost eats. The aim is to not go broke while staying and getting your good nutrition in during your long visit.
It works out particularly well for families if they are taking the kids, it has so many plusses being a 14 nighter rather than a shortie! The longer time frame (and lack of crowds) makes for a more relaxed visit, without the pressure of rushing kids through experiences, which is undoubted stressful for parents and less enjoyable for their offspring — you can take things at whatever speed suits your kids' energy level and interest levels. Seven nights in each city provide ample time for children to soak in Islamic history and learning through multiple visits to important sites, as well as question-and-answer sessions and discussions necessary for deeper learning. Parents can trade off supervising duties, the other taking kids to sleep while the first half of a parent continues worship, switching — something that's not feasible on whirlwind shorter trips. With enough time to settle, kids can adapt and adjust to time zone differences, there are less jet lag tantrums and issues with sleeping. The average 3 star hotel may offer child and family friendly facilities such as connecting rooms or a small/mini bar in the room. I'll take the cool December any time for the kids as opposed to everyone being too hot and dehydrated in the summer which leads to exhaustion and sickness. Longer stays make visits more than a trip but an educational experience in Islam, children will recall and understand much more after two weeks of site indoctrination than rushing around on the weekend. But it pays to think about your kids' age before rolling the dice with toddlers under 4, who might have difficulty on a long trip (no matter how long) and children 6+, who tend to flourish with the learning opportunities. 14 nights Many families feedback that this experience creates spiritual memories and understanding that lasts a lifetime, becoming part of children's identity as Muslims for many years to come and thus making the longer journey worth it.
