Most people still call this document an Umrah visa. Saudi Arabia now calls it an entry permit, and it runs through a platform called Nusuk. Whatever word you use, we take care of it for you as part of our full range of Umrah packages for UK pilgrims, so you never have to fill in a form yourself.

The Simple Explanation
Let us keep this simple. You cannot enter Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah without permission first. That permission used to be called an Umrah visa, and a lot of people still call it that today.
Saudi Arabia now processes this permission through a system called Nusuk. So the correct modern name is an entry permit, not a visa. It does the same job. It proves you have permission to travel, to enter the country, and to visit both Makkah and Madinah for the purpose of Umrah.
This is different from a Hajj permit. It is also different from a general Saudi tourist visa, because the Nusuk system links your permit directly to your Haram access and your Rawdah booking in Madinah. That link matters, and it is one of the things a general tourist visa cannot give you.
Whichever word you search for, visa or permit, the process on our side is exactly the same. We collect your documents, check them properly, and submit your application through the correct pilgrim route.
Before You Send Anything
Four documents cover most pilgrims. Non British passport holders need one or two extra items, explained below.
It must have at least six months left before it expires, counted from your travel date. A passport with less time left will be turned down, so check the expiry date today rather than a week before you fly.
Plain light background, no glasses, no head covering except for religious reasons. The photo must be recent, not one from three years ago. We check every photo before it is submitted, because a bad photo is the most common reason for delay.
This is mandatory for every Umrah pilgrim. It must be dated at least ten days before you travel. Your NHS GP or a travel clinic can arrange this. Book it early, because appointments can take a week or two to arrange.
If you hold a Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, Afghan or other non British passport, we may also ask for proof that you live in the UK. A utility bill, bank statement or your residence permit is usually enough.
The Question Everyone Asks
Here is the honest answer. If you book an Umrah package with us, the permit is already included in the price. You will not see it listed as an extra charge, and you will not be asked to pay for it separately.
If you have already sorted your own flights and hotel and only need the permit itself, that is also something we can do. We treat it as a standalone service, and we will give you a clear price once we know your passport type and your travel dates. Nothing is ever hidden or added later.
Prices can vary a little by nationality, because some passports need extra checks. That is the only thing that changes the number, never a hidden fee.
A Question We Get Every Week
A large number of our clients live in the UK but hold a Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian or Afghan passport. If that is you, nothing about performing Umrah is out of reach. The process is simply a little different.
The main change is proof of your UK residence. We may ask for a residence permit, a recent utility bill or a bank statement showing your UK address. Processing can also take a little longer, so we would rather know your passport type on day one than find out three weeks before you fly.
Tell us early, and we build the right timeline around your travel dates from the very start.
Start to Finish
Four steps. You send documents once, we handle the rest.
Passport, photo and vaccination certificate. Send them by email or bring them to our office, whichever is easier for you.
Every document is reviewed against the current requirements before it goes anywhere near an application form.
Your application is submitted through the correct pilgrim route, linked to your Haram access and Rawdah booking.
We tell you the moment approval comes back, and give you a copy to keep with your travel documents.
Learned the Hard Way, So You Do Not Have To
Every one of these is easy to avoid once someone checks your documents before submission. That check is exactly what we do for every pilgrim, on every booking.
