Umrah visa rules before Hajj: Every year Saudi Arabia pauses Umrah visas ahead of the Hajj season. Visas stop being issued at the start of Shawwal, pilgrims must arrive by the middle of Shawwal and everyone on an Umrah visa must leave by the end of Shawwal. Because the Islamic calendar moves around 11 days earlier each year, these deadlines fall on different dates every year and can affect April travel. Our team will confirm which dates are open for your year before you book. If you are travelling with children at Easter, we will check your school holiday dates against that year’s deadlines.

Why Choose This Package?
Four nights in Makkah gives you time to perform your Umrah, rest and then return to the Haram for extra Tawaf and prayers without rushing. The Hilton is around 600 metres from Masjid al Haram and the walk crosses a main road, so the hotel shuttle is useful for older relatives or on warmer days.
In Madinah, Pullman Zamzam Madina is one of the closest large hotels to Masjid Nabawi. Men can usually reach the mosque in 3 to 5 minutes, while women using the women’s entrances should allow around 10 to 12 minutes. You can also visit Quba Mosque, about 3 km away, and Jannat al Baqi, which is close to the hotel.
5 star rooms over Easter sell out first, so we recommend booking 16 to 20 weeks ahead, which is around four to five months before Easter. Can I travel on this package in April?
It depends on the year. Umrah visas are paused before Hajj, and because the Islamic calendar moves around 11 days earlier every year, the last date for Umrah pilgrims changes too. In some years April is fully open, and in others only the first days are, or none at all. Our team will tell you exactly which dates are available when you enquire.
How close are the hotels to the Harams?
The Hilton is around 600 metres from Masjid al Haram, about a 7 to 9 minute walk, with a shuttle available. Pullman Zamzam Madina is around 150 metres from Bab Al Salam at Masjid Nabawi.
Can I visit the Rawdah?
Yes, with a free permit from the Nusuk app. Each person can book one permit every 365 days, and there is an instant access option when you are close to the mosque. It is best to book before you travel.
What is not included in the price?
Meals, Ziyarah tours, travel insurance and travel to your UK airport are not included. You can add breakfast, Ziyarah tours and lounge access when you book.
