February Umrah Packages UK – Beat the Crowds, Enjoy Perfect Weather

Quick Summary

February is honestly one of the best-kept secrets for Umrah travel. While everyone else fights for Ramadan spots, you get mild weather (15-25°C), fewer crowds at the Haram, and significantly lower prices. Aqdas Travel’s February Umrah Packages start from £795 per person, with options from 7 to 14 nights. We cover everything—flights from major UK cities, ATOL-protected bookings (12834), clean hotels near both Harams, Travel Formalities processing, and 24/7 support. February sits right between the winter rush and the Ramadan madness, which means you actually get space to pray properly and hotels don’t charge you an arm and a leg.

Here’s something most travel agents won’t tell you straight up: February is genuinely the sweet spot for Umrah. Not too hot, not too crowded, and your wallet doesn’t take a battering.

I’m going to be completely honest with you. When people ask me “what’s the best time for Umrah?”, everyone expects me to say Ramadan. And sure, Ramadan is blessed—no argument there. But let’s talk practically for a second. Ramadan packages can cost you £1,500-2,000 per person. February? You’re looking at £795-1,100 for the same duration. That’s nearly half the price for some packages.

And it’s not just about money. February weather in Makkah and Madinah is what I’d call “Goldilocks weather”—not too hot, not too cold, just right. You can actually do Tawaf at 2pm without feeling like you’re melting. Try that in July and you’ll understand what I mean.

Why February Actually Makes Sense for Your Umrah

The Weather Doesn’t Hate You

Let me paint you a picture. It’s February in Makkah. Morning Fajr is cool and pleasant—maybe 12-15°C. By midday, it’s warm but comfortable, around 22-25°C. You can walk between your hotel and the Haram without arriving drenched in sweat. You can do Sa’i between Safa and Marwah without questioning all your life choices.

Compare that to summer (June-August) when it hits 45°C+, or even Ramadan which can be scorching. In February, you actually want to be outside. You can explore Makkah, visit the historical sites, walk around Madinah’s streets—all without collapsing from heat exhaustion.

Fewer People = Better Worship

I’m not going to sugarcoat it—Umrah during peak times can feel like a test of patience rather than a spiritual journey. The Haram gets packed. Tawaf becomes a slow shuffle. Finding a spot for Sa’i requires strategic planning.

February is different. Don’t get me wrong, the Haram is never empty, but there’s space. You can actually see the Kaaba properly during Tawaf. You can pause between your circuits if you need to. You can find a spot for dua without someone’s elbow in your ribs. That breathing room? It’s priceless for your spiritual experience.

Your Money Goes Further

Let’s talk numbers because this matters to most people:

Same package, different months:

  • July/August (off-peak): £750-900
  • February (sweet spot): £795-1,100
  • Ramadan (peak): £1,500-2,200
  • December holidays: £1,200-1,600

February sits in that perfect middle ground. You’re not paying summer bargain-basement prices (which often come with their own compromises), but you’re also not getting gouged like during Ramadan or school holidays.

For families especially, this can be the difference between going or not going. The £400-600 per person you save by choosing February over Ramadan? That’s money you can spend on better hotels, extra days, or charity in Makkah.

Flights Are Actually Available

Ramadan flights from the UK? You need to book 6-8 months in advance, and even then you’re looking at connecting flights through Istanbul or Dubai because directs are gone. February? You can book 2-3 months ahead and still get decent options, sometimes even directs from London or Manchester.

Plus, with schools back in session, families aren’t scrambling for the same flights. Less competition = better prices and better flight times.

Our February Umrah Packages (Straight Talk)

We’ve structured our February packages to give you proper options. No one-size-fits-all nonsense where you pay for things you don’t need.

February Budget Package – 7 Nights

£795 per person

What you get:

  • 4 nights in Makkah (3-star hotel, 10-15 min from Haram)
  • 3 nights in Madinah (3-star hotel, walking distance to Prophet’s Mosque)
  • Return flights from London, Manchester, or Birmingham
  • All airport transfers and intercity transport
  • Travel Formalities processing handled completely
  • UK-based support team

Who’s this for?

Working professionals who can grab a week off. Solo travellers on a budget. Anyone who just wants to get Umrah done without overthinking it.

Is it luxurious? No. Does it get the job done comfortably? Absolutely. The hotels are clean, the beds are decent, and you’re close enough to both Harams that you won’t need a taxi every time you want to pray.

Want something more budget-friendly? Check our 3-star packages for detailed options.

February Standard Package – 10 Nights

£895 per person

The deal:

  • 5 nights Makkah (4-star hotel, 5-10 min from Haram)
  • 5 nights Madinah (4-star hotel, near Prophet’s Mosque)
  • Return flights with flexible UK departure options
  • All transfers included
  • Fast-track Travel Formalities processing
  • Optional Ziyarah tours
  • Travel insurance included

Best for:

Couples doing their first Umrah together. Small families. Anyone who wants a bit more comfort without going overboard on spending.

Ten nights gives you breathing room. You can do your Umrah early in the trip, then spend the rest of your time in proper worship without rushing. You can visit the cave of Hira, explore Madinah’s historical sites, pray in different areas of both Harams.

The 4-star hotels make a difference too—better location (less walking), nicer rooms, usually better breakfast. Is it worth the extra £100? If you value comfort and convenience, definitely. More details on our 4-star packages page.

February Premium Package – 14 Nights

£1,095 per person

What’s included:

  • 7 nights Makkah (5-star hotel, walking distance to Haram)
  • 7 nights Madinah (5-star hotel, premium location)
  • Direct flights where possible
  • Private airport transfers
  • Express Travel Formalities processing
  • Guided Ziyarah tours in both cities
  • 24/7 UK support + local guide support
  • Travel insurance

Perfect for:

Families with elderly parents. First-timers who want everything handled. Anyone who saved up for this trip and wants to do it properly.

Two weeks is what I’d call the “complete experience.” You’re not watching the clock. You can pray all five prayers in the Haram for multiple days. You can visit every historical site without military precision planning. Your parents or grandparents can rest properly between activities.

The 5-star hotels? You’re literally minutes from the Haram. Some rooms have Kaaba views. The service is professional. The food is good. It matters when you’re spending two weeks somewhere. See all premium options on our 5-star packages.

February Family Package – 12 Nights (Special)

From £850 per person

Family-focused features:

  • 6 nights each city
  • Family rooms available (sleeps 4-5)
  • Child-friendly hotels with connecting rooms
  • Flexible meal options
  • Stroller-accessible routes planned
  • Childcare advice and support
  • Kid-friendly Ziyarah tours

Why families love this:

Let’s be real—travelling with kids to Makkah isn’t the same as a romantic getaway. You need different things. Connecting rooms so parents can have some privacy. Hotels that don’t charge you extra for babies. Staff who don’t lose their minds if your toddler cries in the lobby.

We’ve done the homework on which hotels are genuinely family-friendly (not just claiming to be). We know which ones have proper family rooms, which restaurants nearby do decent kids’ meals, which Ziyarah operators are patient with children.

February is brilliant for families because:

  1. No school term conflicts (half-term usually ends mid-Feb)
  2. Weather won’t exhaust your kids
  3. Less crowded = easier to manage children
  4. Better value = you can afford the family room upgrade

What Makes February Different From Other Months?

February vs. Ramadan

Ramadan:

  • ✅ Blessed month, rewards multiplied
  • ❌ Expensive (£1,500-2,200)
  • ❌ Extremely crowded
  • ❌ Fasting adds physical challenge
  • ❌ Book 6-8 months ahead

February:

  • ✅ Affordable (£795-1,100)
  • ✅ Comfortable weather
  • ✅ Less crowded
  • ✅ Can eat/drink normally
  • ✅ Book 2-3 months ahead

Verdict: If you can afford Ramadan and handle the crowds, it’s blessed. But February gets you 90% of the experience for 50% of the cost.

February vs. December

December:

  • ✅ Good weather (similar to Feb)
  • ❌ School holidays = family rush
  • ❌ Christmas/New Year price spike
  • ❌ Flights book out fast

February:

  • ✅ Same weather benefits
  • ✅ School’s in session = fewer families
  • ✅ Post-holiday pricing
  • ✅ Better flight availability

Verdict: February is basically December without the holiday tax.

February vs. Summer (June-Aug)

Summer:

  • ✅ Cheapest time (£700-850)
  • ❌ Brutally hot (40-48°C)
  • ❌ Outdoor activities exhausting
  • ❌ High risk of heatstroke

February:

  • ✅ Perfect temperature (15-25°C)
  • ✅ Can walk outside comfortably
  • ✅ Elderly/kids handle it better
  • ⚠️ Slightly more expensive (+£50-100)

Verdict: The £50-100 extra is worth not melting. Trust me.

Common Questions About February Umrah

“Is February actually quiet or are you just saying that?”

I’ll be straight with you—it’s not empty. The Haram is never empty. But compared to Ramadan (absolute chaos), December holidays (busy), or even March/April (school Easter holidays), February is noticeably quieter. You can do Tawaf without feeling like you’re in a rugby scrum.

“What if the weather is bad?”

February weather in Makkah is pretty reliable. Rain is rare and usually light. I’ve sent hundreds of groups in February over the years—weather has almost never been an issue. That said, we can’t control the weather. If it rains, you wait it out (usually 30-60 minutes) and carry on.

“Can I extend my stay in February?”

Yes, but it’ll cost extra. Each additional night is £40-60 per person depending on hotel category. Just tell us when booking and we’ll price it up.

“My employer won’t give me two weeks off. Can I do 7 nights?”

Absolutely. Our 7-night package exists for exactly this reason. It’s tight but doable. You’ll do your Umrah, spend time at both Harams, and fly back. Not as relaxed as 10-14 nights, but better than not going at all.

“Are February packages family-friendly?”

Very. The weather is perfect for kids—not too hot, not cold. The crowds are manageable, which helps when you’re corralling children. Hotels are more accommodating because they’re not at full capacity. We can arrange connecting rooms, help with meal options, all of it.

Full family guidance on our family packages page.

“What’s the difference between February and March?”

March starts getting busier as schools approach Easter holidays (late March/early April). Prices begin creeping up mid-March. February is the calm before that storm. If you can go in February instead of March, do it.

“Do I need vaccinations?”

Yes—Meningitis ACWY is mandatory. Book it at your GP surgery at least 2 weeks before travel. Some surgeries charge (£30-60), some provide it free on NHS. Also recommended: COVID booster if you’re eligible, flu jab if you’re elderly.

“Can I book February 2026 now?”

Not yet. We release next year’s packages around September/October. But you can register your interest and we’ll contact you the moment February 2026 opens for booking.

Why Book February with Aqdas Travel?

Look, I could list a bunch of corporate reasons here about “excellence” and “commitment” and all that. But let me give you the real reasons:

We’ve been doing this for 15+ years. We’ve seen every problem that can happen with Umrah travel. Flight delays, lost luggage, Travel Formalities hiccups, hotel overbookings—we’ve fixed it all. You’re not our experiment; you’re joining thousands who’ve already been through this process with us.

We’re ATOL protected (12834). Your money is safe. If something catastrophic happens to our company, the government steps in and protects your booking. That’s not marketing—that’s actual legal protection.

We answer the phone. Try calling other agencies on a Sunday evening or during a crisis. Good luck. Our UK team is available 7 days a week. If you’re in Makkah at 3am panicking about something, someone picks up.

We don’t oversell. Some agencies pack people into quad rooms and call it “affordable.” We’re upfront about room configurations. If it’s a shared room, we tell you. If there’s a supplement for privacy, we tell you the exact cost.

February is our specialty. We know which hotels have availability, which flights are best value, which week of February is optimal. We’ve refined this over years of sending people in February specifically.

Easy Payments

Honest answer? February genuinely is cheaper—but not rock-bottom cheap like July/August summer. Here's the reality: you'll pay £795-1,100 for February packages versus £1,500-2,200 for the exact same package in Ramadan. Compared to December holidays, you're saving £200-400 per person. Why? Schools are back in session (so families aren't travelling), Ramadan hasn't started yet (so the mad rush hasn't begun), and hotels aren't at peak capacity. The savings are real, not imagined. That said, if you find a July package for £700, yes, that's technically cheaper—but you'll be dealing with 45°C heat. Your call.
February weather in Makkah and Madinah is what I'd call "perfect pilgrimage conditions." Mornings (Fajr time) are cool—around 12-16°C—so yeah, bring a light jacket or cardigan. By midday it warms up to 22-26°C, which is comfortable for Tawaf without melting. Evenings are pleasant, around 18-22°C. You can walk outside at any time without feeling like you're in an oven. Rain? Rare, maybe 1-2 days light drizzle if you're unlucky. Pack layers—something warm for early morning prayers, normal clothes for the day. You definitely don't need winter coats, but you'll want one light layer for the cooler parts of the day.
We can arrange shorter stays, but honestly? It's tight. Here's the breakdown: you lose a full day flying out, another full day flying back. That leaves you 3-4 days on the ground. Split between Makkah and Madinah, you're looking at maybe 2 days each city. Can you technically do Umrah in that time? Yes. Will it feel rushed and stressful? Also yes. Our shortest standard package is 7 nights for a reason—it's the minimum where you don't feel like you're running a marathon. If work absolutely won't give you more than a week off, the 7-night package works. But if you can stretch to 10 nights, you'll actually enjoy the experience instead of just surviving it.
Ideal booking window is December or early January for February travel—basically 6-8 weeks ahead. Why? Flight prices are best at that range (too early and you overpay, too last-minute and options disappear). Hotels still have good availability. You can secure direct flights from London or Manchester instead of settling for connections through Istanbul. Can you book last minute, like 2-3 weeks before? Sometimes, yes, but you'll pay £100-200 more per person and probably get connecting flights only. Plus Travel Formalities processing takes 3-5 days for UK passport holders, longer for non-UK passports, so leave yourself time. Bottom line: book in December for February, and you'll get best prices and best options.
February is actually brilliant for kids, maybe the best month. Here's why: the weather won't exhaust them (unlike summer where they'll be whinging within an hour), the Haram has enough space that you can move around with a pushchair without causing a traffic jam, and hotels aren't at full capacity so staff are more tolerant of normal kid noise. We've sent loads of families with toddlers and young children in February—most come back saying it was easier than expected. That said, be realistic: if your child is under 2 and still waking up every 3 hours, maybe wait a bit. But 3+? Totally doable in February. We can arrange family rooms, help with meal options for fussy eaters, suggest quieter prayer times. Check our family packages page for more details.
Depends on when you cancel and what's already been paid for. Here's our policy: if you cancel more than 8 weeks before departure, you lose your deposit (£200) but get the rest back. Cancel 4-8 weeks before, you'll lose deposit plus any non-refundable costs we've already paid (usually flights, which airlines won't refund). Cancel less than 4 weeks before departure, you're looking at losing 75-100% because hotels and airlines won't refund at that point. HOWEVER—and this is important—if you cancel for a genuine medical emergency with doctor's note, we'll work with you. We can't get money back from airlines (they're ruthless), but we can sometimes negotiate with hotels, and we'll absorb our admin fees. Also, our packages include basic travel insurance which covers some cancellation scenarios. Medical emergencies, bereavement, serious work issues—read the policy, it might cover you. The key is: don't just disappear. Call us the moment you think you might need to cancel, and we'll salvage what we can.
